The island of Nantucket is one of those rare, special places where luxury abounds and money is no object. Accordingly, there is no shortage of good restaurants on island, with new ones opening all the time. But the Straight Wharf is one Nantucket restaurant that has stood the test of time and is now entering its 46 th year of service. The Straight Wharf is an upscale seafood restaurant that offers stunning ocean views along with its locally sourced, inspired cuisine. The “vibe” at Straight Wharf is a large part of its popularity; in addition to its main dining room and deck, there is also a bar/patio side that is open until 1:00 am or when the Frank Sinatra classic, The Summer Wind, is played (whichever comes first). Since re-opening after Covid-19, the Straight Wharf is open for dinner 6 nights per week, but with a 2 course prix fixe menu ($75/per person). So if you are looking for a celebration of the beauty and simple luxuries of Nantucket, the Straight Wharf is the place to go.
