CHEVAL BLANC | PARIS by Norma Poindexter
Located in the Art Deco wing of the historic La Samaritaine building built in 1870, and home to Paris’ first
department store, the building’s exterior was remodeled in an epic 15-year renovation project by
architect Edouard Francois. Peter Marino, the award-winning American designer, reimagined the
luxurious interior of the Cheval Blanc Paris hotel into a kaleidoscope of golds and colors, works of art,
and bespoke pieces, transforming it into a ultraluxe proposition while remaining mindful of its
classification as a listed building. LMVH celebrates traditional local French craftsmanship in bringing the
immaculate interior design to life, working with creatives and passionate craftsmen like Sophie
Mallebranch, Atelier Lison de Caunes and Charles Schambourg for intricate leather details, dramatic
wall-hangings, and wrought iron genius. Carrying out every aspect of the Parisian luxury touch, Cheval
Blanc Paris commissioned the famous house of Patou for their stylish uniform design.
Situated in a sublimely modern, Art Noveau setting with a prime location overlooking the Seine and
spectacular views of Notre Dame and Sacre Coeur, Cheval Blanc Paris offers 72 luxury rooms including
46 suites and The Apartment. With the feel of an authentic Parisian pied-a-terre, Peter Marino brings
together the largest, stylish accommodation, The Apartment, with seven striking bedrooms, which soak
up the stunning, panoramic city views through the floor-to-ceiling bay windows. With the warmth of a
neutral palette around you and rich Art Deco textures, enjoy the Parisian morning sunrise and the cool
breezes on the balcony of an elegant suite, and delight in the varying light changes on the Eiffel Tower.
You are invited to further luxuriate at the Dior Spa Cheval Blanc Paris also designed by Marino, where
bespoke treatments happen in gorgeously decorated rooms designed to reflect an elegant facet of the
House of Dior. Or choose to relax in the magnificently constructed sauna, pool and fitness center.
Do you desire to linger over the dynamic city view with an incredible gastronomic experience? The
hotel’s four gourmet restaurants are helmed by Michelin-starred chefs including 3-Star chef Arnaud
Donckele at Plenitude and renowned pastry chef Maxime Frederic. Fine dining, Italian-style, vibrantly
lives at Langosteria and for your special occasions, celebrate in a cozy alcove at la Table de Partage.
Conclude your perfect evening with a Grand Marnier in Le Tout-Paris, a stylish brasserie and
cosmopolitan cocktail bar, while deliciously embracing the priceless Parisian skyline on the 7 th floor
terrace. Then leisurely stroll along the legendary riverbanks until midnight.
